The Parabola


Definition:
A Parabola is the locus of (L) points in the plane, that are equidistant to a fixed point (F=Focus) and to a fixed line (Directrix).

Symbols:
F=Focus, L=Locus, H= The intersection point of the line perpendicular to the directrix passing through L and the Directrix itself, a=Distance FL, b=Distance HL, Axis=Axis of symmetry.
